Tennis
I have been playing tennis since I was 8 years old. I started playing in clubs at the age of 10 and I still play to this day. I have been on my high school tennis team for the past 4 years. During my senior year, I was the team captain of our school's team and led our team to our first-ever win in 7 years at the regional tournament in South Lyon.

Finance Club
I was the co-founder of the Finance Club. I decided to create a financial club in my junior year of high school. This club dug deeper into the world of finance and where any student in our school, craving financial knowledge, could join. By the end of my junior year, the Finance club had 23 members that met up every week to truly learn and explore the different aspects of finance. This created an exciting environment to learn about finance, where everybody had a true passion to learn the ins and outs of the industry.
Robotics
I have been on the Robotics Team since the 6th Grade, and in Highschool our team made it to the world championships 3 years in a row. I mentored many kids and worked on the community service aspect of our team. I was also a referee for many competitions during my time on the team.

Interview Questions & Answers
What special skills do you possess?
I possess commercial awareness about finance, the ability to work well under pressure, and a large amount of prior experience with investing. I have commercial awareness of finance because I have had a few internships where I worked directly in the field of finance under a mentor who was very experienced with the finance field. I also greatly improved my ability to work under pressure at this internship because that was one of the main skills required for my job. At this internship, my ability to pick valid investments also greatly increased because the leader of the internship taught me the best and most effective investment strategies.
What are your greatest strengths?
My greatest strengths would include my passion for finance and my ability to get work done. Since the start of my senior year in high school, I have had a strong passion for finance, so working at your company would not feel like work to me. Instead, I would come into work every day with a strong feeling of happiness, and I would also be completely ready to get any work necessary for the job done. Throughout high school, I have been able to maintain my GPA through my ability to get work done. This ability to stay disciplined would continue in a job at your company.
Tell me about a time you made a mistake.
I’m the kind of person who tries to learn and grow from every mistake. In my junior year of high school, a team I was working on failed to get a good grade on our presentation. We were told it was because of our ineffective delivery of the speech, and an overall lack of visual interest in the presentation. Over the next month, I spent a large amount of time learning about how to effectively deliver information to an audience in a more intriguing way with interesting visuals. Since then, I’ve been continuously praised for my delivery and interesting visuals in my presentations.
What motivates you?
I'm really driven by results and the effects of my results. I like it when I have a concrete goal to meet and enough time to figure out a strong strategy for accomplishing it. After the goal is met, I enjoy seeing the effects of my work manifest. For example, In my senior year of high school, I started a Robin Hood brokerage account with money from my summer job; I set the goal of tripling the total balance in my account by the end of the year, and since there was a crazy bull market I was able to do this by setting a concrete goal and staying disciplined.
How do you handle pressure/stress?
I actually work better under pressure, and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging work environment. In my senior year, I saw my brokerage account go from 1500 $ to 500$ and then back up to 2000$. I enjoyed the ups more than the downs, but I knew that stomaching the downs in the stock market was only part of the process. Overall, I always stay logical and non-emotional in high-stress situations.
Tell me about a time that you participated in a team, what was your role?
During my senior year of high school, I participated in a team that helped a small business owner manage their finances. I was the creator of this group, so I had the responsibility of delegating the meetings. We all put our heads together to determine that we wanted to invest most of the portfolio into the real estate market. This proved to yield amazing results as the real estate market boomed after we made this decision.
How would you like to be challenged by a job?
When taking on a job, I look forward to being part of a team that aims high. I have a lot of experience with teamwork and working on big projects with tight deadlines. Whenever I am being actively challenged, I feel more fulfilled and happy when I complete my goals because they took real effort. Being challenged by a job is a necessity as I find the most fulfillment from things that are challenging.
How do you deal with conflict?
I always stay calm and non-emotional while actively listing to the other person's point of view during a conflict situation. This means that I strive to listen to the other person’s point of view without becoming defensive. I also then show the other person that I actively listened to them, and then take an action that is a comprise that ends up benefiting both parties greatly.
How Do You Prioritize Your Work?
I prioritize my workload by first addressing any urgent developments. Then, I create a to-do list based on deadlines that are coming up and the amount of benefit completing the task will have for our company. I always try to finish my hardest and most important task first as this task usually gives the most benefit while addressing all possible deadlines. Then I focus on more minute tasks that do not give as much benefit but are still very necessary for sucess.
Why Do You Want to Be a Financial Analyst?
I decided to major in finance and pursue being a Financial Analyst because I have always had an interest in understanding how businesses are structured, and how businesses make money while staying profitable long term. Since high school, I have loved reading biographies and memoirs of entrepreneurs and business leaders to understand how their businesses started and continued making money, and how they navigated through their struggles and successes. I have also enjoyed the analysis that I have been able to do in my classes and internship. I love digging into the numbers and details, and I would like to continue that work and further my experience with this career.
